In 1989, our founder, Dr. Victor Ooi, developed Malaysia’s first company secretarial software for a medium-sized firm in Johor Bahru. This groundbreaking innovation boosted the firm’s productivity by more than 200%, setting a new benchmark for efficiency in the industry.
Following its success, the software was commercialized in the 1990s, with a new Graphical User Interface (GUI) version that made corporate compliance management more intuitive and accessible.
In 2001, BizAid secured RM9 million in venture capital funding, accelerating our growth and enabling the launch of enterprise-level solutions for public listed companies and multinational corporations. These included the Corporate Information System (CIS), Corporate Governance Compliance System (CGCOMS), and Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS).
By 2019, BizAid transitioned its software solutions to the cloud, ensuring seamless remote access just in time for the COVID-19 lockdown, when company secretaries across the nation were required to work from home.
In 2023, through collaboration with CTOS, BizAid further strengthened its ecosystem with integrated e-KYC and background check functionalities (AML/CFT, CTOS, SSM), enhancing compliance and due diligence capabilities.
The following year, in 2024, BizAid introduced eMeeting and a comprehensive Document Management System (DocMS), completing the suite of essential digital tools for modern company secretarial practice.
